Founded in 2025, the UTM Moot Court Team offers students at the University of Toronto Mississauga a unique opportunity to develop oral advocacy skills through competitive mooting.
Unlike the St. George and Scarborough campuses, UTM previously lacked a mooting platform. As pre-law students seeking a more rigorous and practical experience, we established UTM MCT to fill that gap.
Through mentorship, immersive training, and national competitions, our team prepares students for success in legal advocacy. UTM MCT marks a new chapter in UTM’s legal education and contributes to U of T’s tri-campus mooting legacy.

The UTM Mooting Club offers students the chance to engage in internal and external moots, legal workshops, and speaker panels—sharpening their advocacy, public speaking, and legal reasoning skills in a supportive environment.
Joining the Mooting Club has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my academic journey. The club offers a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment where members can develop critical legal reasoning, public speaking, and advocacy skills.
